Big Girl

I must say this book was a truly excellent read, (well I actually listened to it on CD). I love the way the author captures your attention from the very beginning of the book. She uses the perfect blend of skill, creativity, and insight as she so accurately paints a picture of a dysfunctional family and the power of words. She illustrates painfully, yet necessarily, the harsh truth of how children will believe they are indeed who their parents say they are. But all is not lost in this book. The reader will learn to empathize with the main character and genuinely root for her happiness and satisfaction with who she is in life. I definitely recommend this book.
