Some "Me" Time

Every now and again, as every mother knows.......ya' needa little me time; some alone time, some time to just spend by yourself and reflect. I am one of those  mothers. Don't get it twisted in the least, I LOVE my girls, but I'm a single mom and let's face it, sometimes I just need Calgon to take me away. 

This brings me to the realization that I have to find a way to create some time for myself. In the humdrum routine of everyday life, I tend to get caught up in the mundane nature of it all. You all know what I mean....

Get up, get the girls up, dressed, fed, to school, to work, pick up from school/day care, homework, dinner, squeeze in QT, bed time, stay up later than I should, get five hours of sleep, wake up, and start all over again.

I'm not complaning guys. I love my life, I love my girls, (wish I would win the lottery though and quit my job), it's just, sometimes we all need a break. So the plan.....

At least two-three days a month, I am going to figure out a way to go on a date.......with me,  lol! There are so many things that I want to do and focus on. Things that make me, "me." So, it's small step, but a step nonetheless.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to how I can squeeze in the "me" time? Please let me know.

In  other news, LaToya Jackson reminds me soooooooo much of MJ on Celebrity Apprentice, random, I know!

I Whip My Hair Back and Forth???

 Guess who has a new/old "Do" ME! Well after much contemplating and pontificating....I decided to go ahead and cut my hair. Ironically, I began blogging in 2008 because of my hair and my desperate "want" for sisterlocks. Fast forward 2 1/2 years and I'm back to where it all began....and I couldn't be happier. I really do love my hair this way, remember? It's easy and, lets face it, as a single mom of three young children, I need "easy!" Don't get me wrong, I LOVED my sisterlocks, but with this new year and some goal setting, I felt that I needed a fresh start with everything. Everyone who knows me knows that I tend to change my hair like I change clothes, but this is the one style that has always been near and dear to me. Maybe I'll lock my hair again when I turn 35, we'll see....maybe not. But can I say that I am very happy with my new/old do....oh wait, I think I just did!

Whew! Time Sure Does Fly!

Well, I couldn't let this year come to an end without posting.  So, I just want to send out a quick "hey there" to everyone one and say that the girls and I are fine. These past three months have been filled with lots of love, laughs, and sweet memories. I'm so blessed to have my babies! They've grown (literally), matured, lost teeth, and have become such little helpers to me. The baby is growing and doing new things each passing day. It's been a blast watching her discover this world. I'm excited to see what the new year will bring. I wish you and all of  your families a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and prosperous  New year! If we don't "talk" again in 2010, I'll see you next year!
